Our BeginningsBill Bertram from Tasmania was District Governor 1971-72. On the recommendation of President Roy Doueal of Rosebud, he appointed Bruce Hazard as the District Governors special representative. The purpose being the motivation of the development of a new Rotary Club at Dromana. Bruce nominated Keith Brooks, Bill Speedie along with others to his committee. They set about the challenge of finding twenty-two members, which is the number required by Rotary International to charter a Rotary Club.
