The joint meeting with Rosebud /Rye  and the presentation  Anouk   the exchange student from  Holland  was  a great success. After experiencing both the Dutch and  Aussie anthems being sung!!!!!!!!!!!  I know why I  have not had too much singing this year. We missed Harrys support in singing the Dutch  Anthem.

The sausage sizzle  went well  at bunnings  for a Friday  and was well organized by Mike Smith  and well supported
I would like to thank this years Board and  all the members of the club  for their participation.

Thanks Robert Alexander

GOOD EVENING ROTARIANS AND FRIENDS

Chairman for the night was Chris Booth.

Hi to the Youth Committee for coming year
I have arranged a meeting  for next Monday night at 7pm to be held at Chris Booth's home. We will discus all the options for youth and Chris will hand over the task to us.
regards Merv
Youth Chairman

Please note, as l will be doing the Presidents section as well as my usual weekly notes, if you want anything added to the Bulletin, please email me with the heading ADD TO BULLETIN, must be received by Saturday, otherwise will go in next week’s Bulletin.

It was a great night, there were over 35 people in attendance for Anouk’s farewell talk about her experience in Australia and on the Mornington Peninsula.
Guests included Rosebud/Rye Rotary members, Host Parents for our exchange student and our exchange student Anouk, also in attendance for the night was Joseph Sofia, he is our wine supplier, and supports our Fundraising events, and he also thinking of becoming a member.

Secretary Elaine mentioned all correspondence and handed out mail to Directors.

Director Mike spoke about the Bunnings BBQ for Friday morning, and said he needed 2 extra people for the shifts, starts at 8am and finishes at 4pm, there will be 3 shifts for the day.

Peter and Col will be going to the Rosebud/Rye changeover at Rosebud country club on Wednesday night, should be a great night and looking forward to it, it will be great to see Brian Allan come in as President, l hope to do a lot with his Rotary club and the other cluster Presidents.

Just a brief on the Market from Tony Viney, the application form will be going in next week with payment, so things are moving in the right direction, keep up the good work Tony.

Peter had a meeting with Chris Booth and Mary (my wife) as Mary is interested in helping to start a satellite club, we went through paperwork, and will be putting in the application to get it started very soon, we have a few people interested already and hope to have a meeting with Mark Humphrey’s in mid to late August, when details are finalised , we will let everyone Know, that way if you want to attend, you can put your name down.

GUEST SPEAKER ANOUK
Anouk spoke about the things she did while here, Anouk mentioned the Rock to Reef experience, she went surfing at Phillip Island, went to Wilsons Prom, went to Tasmania and all around it with her host families, Anouk also met her father for a few days, saying she took him everywhere, and said he lest exhausted, would have slept all the way back to home. My guest Joseph said Anouk had seen more of Australia than he had, and he’s been her for 48 years, he said she was a very lucky girl, and it gave him an understanding of what Rotary does, and as Anouk said, Rotary also does great work for Polio, l feel Joseph went home with more understanding about Rotary.
Anouk also said she now has an extended family here in Australia where she can come and stay, she really had a great time, even starting to speak Australia with words, “like” cool” plus many others, and likes chocolate, as host families were happy to tell all.
