Last nights meeting was the last one prior to changeover at the yacht club at safety beach, we decided for last nights meeting it would be a social finger food night were members could bring friends, the reason was to throw Lyn Lewis of anything suspicious,  as she was receiving an award.

I asked the incoming president and treasurer Rick if we could invite our current kitchen hand Patty and friend to attend our changeover night, as we usually asked our previous caterer, she was was delighted at our offer and would love to attend.

The meeting was started at 6.30 by Pres Tyrrell with introduction of usual proceedings and then a welcome to all guests, this was proceeded by an array of finger food to start commencing to come out, this continued till 7.30 were Pres Tyrrell then went to the podium to introduce Geoff Taylor to make the award, Geoff  brought Lyn Lewis up to the podium to her surprise to present her with the Paul Harris Fellowship Award, that she thoroughly deserved for all her work she has contributed to the club and community , the award was done prior to changeover as Lyn is going away prior on her road trip up north, we all hope she has a safe trip, after all members congratulated her the food continued to come out until around 7.45 were tea,coffee and biscuits were available, meeting concluded at 8.00 ., regards Peter.
