President's Message

Dear Rotarians and all friends of the Rotary Club of Dromana.

Here with my last report for the year. First of all I would like to thank you for attending Rotary through a difficult last six months for all of us.

Also, thank all of you for a special, and well earned, Christmas break-up. When we work together we can achieve our goals. We set out to raise approx. $ 650 and achieved $ 1,300 to send on to Polio Plus to be part of eradicating this terrible disease.

A very big thank you to all of you.

I here-by wish each and every one of you, and your family, a great Christmas and all the best for a healthy and hopefully better 2022.

And look forward to seeing you all in the New Year.

Take care, your pres. Harry.

IF YOU MAKE A MISTAKE, DON’T KEEP GOING OVER IT.
ACKNOWLEDGE IT, TRY TO MAKE AMENDS, AND
THEN FORGET ABOUT IT.

Normally there isn't a Christmas Bulletin but I felt that this had been such a difficult and tiring year that a few words of thanks from Harry and some of the other comments that had been received would end the year on an "up" note. Merry Christmas to you and all your families and good luck in the New Year.

Your Ed.

Message from Tony

Dear Dear Colleagues,  I received a text message from Paul Nitas (Hillview Quarries) offering his best wishes for Christmas.

A copy of Paul's message is below.

Hi Tony, Please pass on my wishes for a safe Xmas period to Dromana Rotary members and I look forward to continuing our relationship.
Regards,
Paul

Message from Rick.

In behalf of those of of us who were able to attend the Christmas party at the Main Ridge Bowls and Petanque Club, (MRBP), l thank President Harry and Trudy and the ladies who provided a wonderful spread for the night; and also worked in the kitchen on the night. I am sure no-one went home hungry!
It was disappointing that Ray and Elaine and Bob and Freda were not able to attend for health reasons.
We must also thank those that provided the prizes for the raffle and particularly Jenny Dart for the great Chocolate House, that was won by Ailsa's Grandson.
I would all like to acknowledged the fact that the venue was provided free of charge by the MRBP,
Not only that, ex-member Jonathon O'Sullivan provided the bar service, and MRBP Secretary Robert Hudson and his wife Dee provided invaluable help for us with kitchen duties and cleaning up afterwards.( we fed them of course?)

As you would know President Harry decided that any profit made on the night should be donated to Polio Plus. And unless any members have expenses that they have not claimed for the occasion we made a profit of $1179.83.
Not bad for a very enjoyable night!!!
Rick
