Merry Christmas and Happy  New Year to all.

When we look at what we do as Rotarians we  are so  privileged  to serve  and need to be reminded of how lucky we are. This is why it is good that we have  supported  Orange Sky for this year and hopefully many years to come . A member  who can make time should look at  representing us in this  activity.

Jane and myself have  been bouncing around  Westerport  Bay  taking advantage of our membership of the Hastings yacht club. It is a club of over 200 members  from many postcodes. It has a disability sailing program   and  racing  program running every  two weeks . Worth a visit .

We  have slept on the boat a couple of nights  and been stuck on the mud .We went to French Island , Flinders and  Seal Rock.

I have asked  Michael  Anderson our President nominee to   create  a stencil for a club Plan  so that  future  presidents can  give each member  a copy  so they know what   is going on from day one.

The Carols event  was well organized and heaps attended .While this is  fresh in your minds lets  in writing suggest how positively  we can do it better.  New  members may join the carols committee.

Even though a few  sessions were not filled  Michael Smith should be congratulated keeping  the  Trailer Roster  for Dromana Hub Shopping centre   going . I thank all   that have had a go for their support.

I  also thank David  Buchanan  for  being there   as  logistic support.

BIG KEN IS BACK !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!KenReece ( past member)  and Rick  sold books on the foreshore coveringa smallpart of the patch  anddid well.

Next  Wednesday  I am going out with Ken  on the foreshore ,we need say 4 other people to cover the  ground.  Chris Booth  would be there  if he could  and with ken  started this foreshore  selling.

There is  now opportunity for all of you  to working  in  teams of 2 or three exploring opportunities selling tickets. Take Rotary  Brochures with you.

Australia Day is coming up  and  this is the last morning of ticket selling.

Please tell Mike  if you will be there also  I  am sure  Ray will give   details about   the other jobs he needs  the Rotary  Members to  to do.

 Thanks Rob

Hi all

A new year is upon us with new challenges.

Our first meeting for the year is a breakfast meeting hosted by the Dromana Mens Shed for details click here.

Tony Viney has been hard at work on his plans for the Dromana Community Market. It is now time for all of us to get in involved in the Planning and implementation of this worthwhile event that cone earn the club much needed project funds.

To Quote Tony

I now know how hard it is to get Club members involved in things outside normal club meetings (trailer raffle as example - taking time of year into consideration) but a lot of work has been done already in preparation for getting the Dromana Community Market project up and running….. What is needed now is some assistance from club members to either go over, and/or activate some of the line items on the attached list of Action Points “IF” the club wants to have a high profile money earning venture that we can depend on….. I look at the Market as a club project and not that of a One Person Venture so am I thinking that people should step up to the plate and help pull the project together.

For more information of how you can help get this off the ground click here.

The Christmas Carols apart from being a great event resulted in a profit of $1063. The Salvation Army's share of this is $707.45

The Trailer Raffle sales are going along swimmingly – at last count the sales have grossed almost $9000.
