President Michael & Agnes are still overseas and will be for another 4 weeks, but of course there is no envy from any of us.
In Mikes absence Senior Vice-President Rob will take over & if he is absent PP Ross will take up the mantle. PP Ross is expected to be in the chair for the 18 October meeting
We did not hold a meeting last week but instead several members & their partners had a social evening at the Peninsula Club, after a slight delay as our booking was misplaced. There was also a mishap at the Safety Beach Sailing Club which your erstwhile Secretary/Assistant Editor will elaborate on at the next meeting.
Reminders and Secretarial information
A joint meeting with Rosebud-Rye will occur on 6 December at their rooms
There has still been no response from the Shire about the Safety Beach Picnic table
There has still been no response from Sam Groth about the State Government's 500 unused houses. We will have an opportunity to quiz Sam about this at the next meeting

The AGM will be held on 22 November at the Safety Beach Sailing Club. An agenda will be emailed to members over the coming weeks.
The Community Garden BBQ lunch will be held at the garden on 15 October between 11 & 2
A visit to the Sea Scouts is being arranged with a date (still) TBA
A joint meeting with Dromana Lions is being planned
The parking project at Hillview was abandoned due to inclement weather
A Rotary survey has been emailed to all members, please complete this frankly
A Ride (motorcycle) For Rotary event is being held in India. Those members wanting to participate can do so for only $US4,000, excluding airfares. Don't wait too long to sign up!
Secretary Mark will be absent for the next meeting & for the market but hopes to complete all of the arrangements remotely
