Happenings at last week’s Changeover Meeting
After preliminary drinks the Dinner was called to order, and Merv took his usual position as Master of Ceremonies for the evening.
The MC then introduced the President and Charles made his welcoming address. He then introduced the evenings Guests:
- Peter Behm - District Governor of 9815
- Jeremy Maxwell - CEO / Southern Peninsula Community Support Centre
- Kera Zaltsberg - Fundraising Relationships Coordinator / Southern Peninsula Community Support Centre
- Simon Brooks - President Dromana Association / Paul Harris Fellow
- Kate Young - Coordinator Dromana Community House Choir
- Kevin and Jess Young - Musical Entertainers at our market
- Members Partners
The Rotary Toast and Invocation were called and then the current Director for International, Peter Collins, proposed the Toast to Rotary International.
The Awards Presentation was conducted with the following recipients:
- David Jarman Community Award – Greg Fitzgerald for his efforts for the Hillview Reserve restoration and the Tiny House Project.
- Paul Harris Fellowship – Joseph Sofia for his support for youth.
Special Thanks were directed to Lions Member Graham Wilson for his support of the Community Market and Simon Brookes for his work on the Tiny House Project.
The MC also took the opportunity to thank all those Members who quietly make the work of the Club possible and the Young Family who support the Club by providing music for our monthly Market and our Carols event.
Charles now presented his last Presidents Report and noted the successes that the Club has had plus the things that we still have to persevere with. He then set about inducting his successor, Peter Collins.
Peter then thanked Charles for his time as President and also the Club for entrusting him with the role of President. He expressed his positive lookout for our future and then introduced his incoming Board:

- Merv Prossor
- Chris Booth
- Tony Viney
- Peter Anderson (the “loose cannon”)
Peter thanked everyone for coming along and congratulated the award recipients once again. He then closed the ceremony at 8:45.
