1st Wednesday social night and off site visit.
2nd Wednesday full dinner meeting with guest speaker.
3rd Wednesday committee meetings.
4th Wednesday full dinner meeting with guest speaker.
5th Wednesday no meeting
Last Wednesday was our Committee meeting, held at the Two Buoys Restaurant in Dromana. I was impressed with the venue and the food was delicious and very reasonably priced.
Most of the conversation was about the ongoing planning of the possible Trash and Treasure Market. There were a lot of interest in the topic though some questions were premature in that I’m focusing on the Terms of Agreement rather than the nitty gritty of the project. That said, I was pleased to hear all the comments and questions put forward.
Next Wednesday is our Change Over meeting at the SBS Club. I’m looking forward to seeing those that can make it on the night.
I must remind those members who volunteered for the Mock Interviews at Balcomb Grammer, that it is on Thursday the 26th. We need to be there at 8.15am.
Thank You.
Happenings at last week’s Meeting
At Two Buoys for our Committees Meeting and the conversation was varied (and I’m not too sure it was all about Committees. Ed).
Charles completed the evening by talking about the proposed Trash and Treasure Market to be established at the Dromana Drive-In. He spoke about the Drive-In providing promotions on their screens. The initial contract could be for a period of twelve months and include a trial period. The Club would have to spread the word using our social media contacts.
A brief conversation about the Community Market and a possible new booking/invoicing finished off the night around 8:00.
The New Web Site
Don't forget to have a daily look at our new web site. The more visits it gets, the better.
The other week, some of our Club members were refurbishing the Hillview Community Reserve pavilion when a local young lady came across them and, in Waynes words, “was so impressed that they were giving up their time and effort to do something for the community” that she shouted them all a coffee and made a fresh batch of scones topped with jam and whipped cream. This lovely person was Bec, and many thanks to her from the lucky recipients and the whole Club. It’s always a nice surprise to be appreciated.
You will receive an email each week requesting that you confirm your attendance at the next meeting by return email of by phone call or text.
