President Michael & Agnes were in Rome when we had our last meeting and will be overseas for another 4 weeks.
In Mikes absence Senior Vice-President Rob will take over & if he is absent PP Ross will take up the mantle. PP Ross is expected to be in the chair for the 25 October meeting
Whilst the parking project at Hillview did not go ahead last weekend because of bad weather a successful BBQ lunch was put on by RC Dromana members for guests at the Dromana Community Garden last week, thanks to the good work of PP Merv.
Preparations are well underway for our annual Halloween event; this is the biggest event our club hosts each year & is keenly awaited by the community. All members are required to be in attendance to make this a success.
IPP Greg addressed the meeting & spoke about the detail of the works proposed for Hillview Reserve. Is seems that whilst the comment period hasn't expired tenders have been called for.
Following Greg's talk Secretary Mark gave a short presentation on Chairmanship.

There has still been no response from the Shire about the Safety Beach Picnic table
There has still been no response from Sam Groth about the State Government's 500 unused houses.
The AGM will be held on 22 November at the Safety Beach Sailing Club. An agenda will be emailed to members over the coming weeks.
A visit to the Sea Scouts is being arranged with a date (still) TBA
A joint meeting with Dromana Lions is being planned
A Rotary survey has been emailed to all members, please complete this frankly
The failure to advise the Sailing Club & caterers about our absence on 11 October rests solely with the absent minded secretary
The (final) district AGM will be held by Zoom on 19 November & attendance is compulsory! Details are to follow

NYSF needs Rotary volunteers in January. Those that can assist are encouraged to do so
An email was sent to the Shire about the proposed Hillview works, asking for an early start
Assistant Governor peter Rawlings is speaking to the Dromana Valley Probus Club during Probus week. Peter will remind them that RC Dromana was instrumental in their creation
Secretary Mark will be absent for the next meeting & for the market but hopes to complete all of the arrangements remotely
Foundation Director Charles spoke about a planned movie night & then enlightened us about the Plus part of polio Plus. It seems that this covers other diseases in third world countries in line with the lessons learnt in Polio prevention
