Good evening Rotarians and Friends. Last week were invited to the Dromana Potters for a finger food night as a thank you for Dromana Rotary's donation towards a kiln, other guests in attendance were The Bendigo Bank, and other members, of the community. Secretary Elaine spoke about the film night for Polio 9th Nov, Murder on the Orient Express , also spoke about the coin spinners. A Caroline Chisholm lunch, anyone going please contact Elaine. Also spoke about Tim Desmond and our donation to the CFA. Council Grants for $5,000.00 was passed on to Elaine from Bob Donaldson. An email from Orange sky, seeking volunteers. An email from David Button from the district 9820 conference in Sale for registration in Feb -Mar 2018. And mentioned the trailer raffle and who has put there names down. Director Ray spoke about the Australia day committee, and how 2 more members have pulled out , as Simon French is moving a long distance away and is still attending for the rest of this year. He mentioned that we are in real trouble. Member Greg spoke about the Halloween party on the 31st Oct, and how he and his committee have every thing organised, they need to build the bone fire, put out signs for parking, also needed for the night was spotlights, and a generator, David B will handle that department. Also needed was a trailer load of red gum chips, Chris offered to go and pick them. A working bee is organised for Saturday 21st Oct, lots of activities are set for the night, should be a great night, CFA are doing there Roast beef rolls and drinks, Rotary are doing egg and bacon rolls and sausages.
