GOOD EVENING ROTARIANS AND FRIENDS

Chairman Ray B-B opened the meeting and handed over to Pres Rob, who welcomed our guest Adrian Davies.

Secretary Elaine talked about correspondence and handed out the relevant paperwork to Directors, Elaine also mentioned one of our charter members and Paul Harris Fellow's had passed away  Len Rowler, he  some of our members will be attending the funeral.

Director Rick showed members again how to use club runner for putting in personal details.

Member Merv spoke about the Salvo's collection we did, Merv didn't have the amount recieved through Rotary, But Peter said the average would of been about $60.00 per shift per person, so good result for the Salvo's.

Member Bob  brought us up to date with how Freda Donaldson was going with her injury, Bob said Freda will be in a neck and back brace for about 6 weeks and finds it difficult to shower etc, our thoughts and best wishes were passed on to Freda through Bob.

Director and Incom Pres Peter spoke about the cluster meeting he had at his house last week with Stephen Dailey, Linda Morris and most of the cluster group attending, it was a great night with everyone giving a 3 minute talk about there club, the cluster looks as if it will work together on the important issues and achieve some great goals.

Peter also mentioned that there were 59 people attending the changeover night, it is a great result and hope everyone has a great night.

THE (finaly he done it ) GIG

G.I.G.     Merv Prossor
Merv spoke on his recent fishing trip to Tilpa, a small town situated on the Darling River in N.S.W. He left Red Hill at 3.30am and drove just on 1000 kms arriving late afternoon. Quickly set up camp before dark then went to the hotel, the only place with phone coverage. Calls were made to home to say we had arrived safely.
First day the fishing was great and the weather fine 21 degrees. The fish went quiet for a few days but the weather stayed good. A storm blew up one night so we prepared camp for rain. There was thunder, lightning and strong wind but only a few spots of rain. Locals informed us that a flush of environmental water was coming down the river but unfortunately we had to go home before it arrived.
The fish however must have sensed it was coming so we had a very good day to finish. We all came home tired but with a freezer full of fish.

Meetings held weekly at Old Shire Offices, Point Nepean Road, Dromana.
