                                                 PRESIDENTS MESSAGE

THANK YOU TO ALL OUR NEW SPONSORS.

Hi everyone, What a great attendance on Thursday night, with over 35 people coming to listen to Mark talk about setting up a satellite club.
PLEASE NOTE. l need permission to add guests to the club runner web site, if you DON’T want me to add your name as a guest, please let me know, this will be used for future input, thank you, regards Peter
Peter also mentioned the BBQ at Mazda on Saturday, with donations from Mazda made up a total of $250.00, thanks to all those that helped in the wet conditions.
Pete also said he went to Bunning’s with Tony Viney for the dinner with all volunteers who do BBq’s and other over the last 12 months.
There will be about 30,000 raffle tickets to be sold in our annual raffle and this year will be a Mazda 2 to give away, If we sell all the tickets with the help of other clubs were they get payed $1.00 per ticket sold, we all should make a good profit, signs are going to be done by Prime Signs, who have offered to do them at a fraction of the price, Thanks Justin.
Peter also had confirmation from IGA and Roger McMillan that we are now able to sell tickets inside the complex from both entrances , as well having our new BBQ trailer there every second week to sell sausages, great result for the club to make more money in the summer months when there are more tourists about.
Also 25th August, all food and antipasto will be supplied by Peter and Mary Anderson, Elaine and Geoff Taylor, for the Antipasto, soup and desert, games night, this is a member’s and partner’s night only, if you haven’t RSVP, WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR, This will be a great fun and social night, Email Mary on -  samary66@bigpond.com                , ASAP
We are all in this together—and together, we will Be the Inspiration. (A quote from Barry Rassin ).
                                        BE THE INSPIRATION.

HAVE A GREAT WEEK, PRES PETER

GOOD EVENING ROTARIANS AND FRIENDS

Chairman for the night was Merv Prossor
Invocation was performed by Bob Donaldson
Rotary Toast was performed by Merv Prossor
President Peter welcomed all the guests for the evening and also did the apologies.
Chris spoke about all correspondence and handed out leaflets for government grants that were given to us by Geoff Hosking and the men’s shed as they want a grant to go towards projects for the Men’s Shed, and asked all members to go online and vote for them.
DIRECTOR Tony, spoke about the Market and its progress with the shire and getting approval, also mentioned getting the steering committee going with urgent points.
DIRECTOR/President Peter mentioned the social night at Geoff and Elaine Taylor's house on the 25th of August, and asked for all members that were coming to put there hands up so we know how many are coming, all supplied but PLEASE BRING YOUR DRINK

Tonight's Guest speaker was Mark Humphreys, and the topic for the night was, SATELLITE CLUB, Mark gave an in depth talk about how to set one up, the number needed to get started, all the procedures and laws, it seemed pretty simple to do but all you need is dedicated people with a project and a main club to bounce off, Mark also showed a slid show of key points for all the guests that came to listen in on the talk, there were questions asked and answered by Mark and Christine Williams,Guest Joseph Sofia from wine lovers in the Dromana industrial estate was very passionate about building the Rotary name, he is considering becoming a member of our club, it was a great night, it was fun and enjoyable.
The next stage that President Peter will be doing is following up with those interested in going to the next step, then we will get Mark and Christine back to start the
process, with what is required, if you are interested in joining this group and you haven’t been contacted by Peter, please email him and he will gladly add you to the list , Peter’s email is -tptechniques66@bigpond.com
