Good evening Rotarians and friends.
Meeting was opened bye chairman Rob.
He passed over to Pres Ross, who welcomed guests and members .
The meeting for the night was queter,as a few members went to the Rye/Rosebud Rotary cinema night to support Poleo,.
Rye/Rosebud Rotary had a fantastic turnout to there event with numbers well over 200, my wife Mary attended and said it was a great night and great film.
We may need in the future to combine our cinema or meeting night for this great fundraiser.
Director Rob, incoming Pres and Chairman spoke about Chris Williams, relative to PDG Merv Williams about using his many cans to support RAMS.
Director an nice guy Peter, spoke about the fundraiser for his wife Mary, how the hall has now been booked and Rosebud shire has donated the hall costs as a sign of good will, we have Bob Donaldson and Frieda as well as Ray BB and Elaine BB helping in the paperwork for flyers and sponsorship letters, we have a nomber of people committed already for bookings for dinner, still need a lot more more, so please rally around to help raise money for the Rosebud Hospital wish list, flyers will be out soon.
The gig or man behind the badge was done by Mike Smith our new member, it was a great talk and may need to do it again when more members are in attendance.
Mike is taking care of bis son full time, he has down syndrom, Mike said it keeps him very bussy.he also said his wife died 3 1/2 years ago, Mike was conscripted into the vietnam war to do national service at Puckapunyel, he worked in the ordanance when he went to Vietnam.
He has worked in various parts of Australia, he has done management consulting for the military and got outin 1986.
Mike started his own business in computers, he spent time looking for faults in the system before they were sent to Canberra, he's been
In the transport business and also sold cars, it was a great talk, it had its sad moments , but now we know a little more about Mike our new member, thank you for sharing part of your life with our club.
