Christmas Dinner face to face
Well, from the feedback I have had, I think all that were able to attend, enjoyed the opportunity to actually meet up in the flesh at last.
Past President Peter conducted a minutes silence in memory of our great friend and member David Buchanan followed by my wife Carol, reading a letter from David and Ann’s Grandson.
The words he wrote are below
To Dromana Rotary club,
My name is Andrew Berezy (David and Ann Buchanan’s grandson) and I am a scout at 1st The Basin Scout Group.
I decided to work towards gaining the Australian Scout medallion (which is the highest award a Scout can achieve.) As part of the work to achieve this award, I had to complete 10 hours of community service.
I was able to attend and help at one of your Rotary Markets during last summer. During the day I helped set up, pack up and serve customers along with collecting money for the Bushfire appeal and making sure everyone was fuelled with coffee (thanks to Gran).
I would like to take this opportunity to say thank you for letting me participate and as a result, I have now been presented with the Australian Scout Medallion.
So once again thank you Dromana Rotary club.

After 6 months of secrecy Past President Peter, along with Joy Jarman, past President Geoff Taylor was at last able to present the awards normally made on our Changeover night
So all can be revealed

Another highlight of the evening was the celebration of Ray Barnard- Browns 91st Birthday.
Not not to be overshadowed by the fact that Ray recently celebrated his 39th year as a member of Rotary!
Traditional Breakfast meeting our fist meeting for the new year and our next meeting
As is the tradition our first meeting for the year will be a breakfast meeting at the Rotary BBQ shelter on Dromana Foreshore.
The details still have to be organised and supplies ordered. It is a partners, children, and grandchildren event.
And a chance to consume some of Rob’s eggs.
The price will be $10 per head
