Hi Everyone,
Don't forget it Market Weekend and all hands on deck.
 
Also there is a board meeting next Thursday 5.10 till 6.20, please have your directors reports into Chris ASAP, thank you.
 
The Dromana Primary school has asked us to do there fete BBq this March, because again the Dromana Lions cannot do it due to short staff It’s for Friday the 15th March from 4.00pm till 8.00pm with us needing to be there around 3ish to set up BBQ trailer were we did the election, we will need at least 4 people, and we are allowed to sell raffle tickets on the night, we don’t need to supply anything, just labour.
A big thank you to Col for going to the district conference on behalf of Dromana Rotary, he presented D.G Janne Spears with a check for $1 million dollars, representing all money raised, his report is below.
Please don’t forget,  We have been asked by the potters group if they could use our room on Thursday the 18th of April to prepare for there easter exhibition, As my wife Mary the social secretary was going to organize a social dinner, we have decided to make it that night, So Thursday the 18th of April will be a social partners night held at the Pig and Whistle in Main Ridge, time will be sent out in next few weeks.
Rosebud Bunnings gave us another 2 card tables to use for the raffle ticket sales, thanks to Roger for picking them up for us, they will come into good use.

Secretary Chris- spoke about incoming mail
Director- tony spoke about this weeks market and the roster.
Director- Rick spoke about raffle sales and wanted tickets back that others might have and might not be able to sell.
Director Harry spoke about the brochures he is doing with Roger to put in houses sold etc.
Director Merv- spoke about the youth exchange program and said we need host families for the student coming from Brazil, need to get this happening ASAP, as we have committed to doing this, so please have a think about if you are able to help, thank you.
Member – Ray B-B spoke about the raffle roster and wants people to put there name down, as we need as many people as possible to sell the tickets.
 Absent Col’s Report from District conference
The reason the bike ride was started was to raise money for Life education started by Roy Knudson in 2002 In the 17 years $1000000.00+ has been raised. We did the presentation at the 9820 district conference at Jeff's Shed yesterday 
presenting DG Janne Speirs with a cheque for $1000000.00 
All money raised goes to life education.

The Market went well again this month, selling out of egg and bacon rolls and snags, Adrian done very well in getting possibly 2 people to attend our meting this week, hope all members show them a good time and assist where ever needed.
 
GUEST SPEAKER
David Davis, son of Adrian Davis one of our new members.
David spoke to us about how Parliament works and how he was there today trying to pass a bill on a couple of things, also spoke to us about the road system and how it will financially impact us with increase costs of doing the tunnel under west gate, David spoke about a lot of issues and also the upcoming election, because of the complexities of government l wont go into to much detail of what was spoken, but l will say it was a great talk, Members asked a lot of questions and l feel they all enjoyed David’s visit.
