Hi Everyone, next week is a Partners night, social finger food night.
There is a lot of BBQ’s coming up this month, please assist were possible.
Thank you to all those that attended this week’s meeting
Firstly, Thank you Greg and Wanda Fitzgerald for there kind donation of $1,000 to Drought Relief, Thank you.
Pres Pete attempted to get permission to sell Raffle tickets in the IGA complex in Dromana, but even with the help of Antonella Chelli and Fred Harrison it was still a no from centre Management.
Pete got an extra 2 sponsors for our Bulletin, one being Lane way Café and the other is Bayside Blinds in Dromana.
Next weeks meeting is a finger food night to celerbrate our great member Ray Barnard-Brown, he is turning 90 and has not only been a great asset to Dromana Rotary but also the WHOLE community in general, he does a lot for ABCD as well as other groups like the Australia day commity and others, it has been a privilege for me to know this man as he puts 100% into everything, thanks Ray.
PLEASE NOTE- 19th of Dec is our Breakup night, it will be held at the Main ridge Bowls club, it is a Partners Night , Please let Elaine no as l have ordered all the Salads and will be ordering all the steak and other food, but really need the correct numbers, otherwise it will cost our club account for food not needed.
Pres Pete spoke with our guest speakers from39+ about assisting in our foreshore BBQ’s to help with there donations, l feel they need all the help they can get and everyone agreed with me, so we will help them as much as we can.

Rotary invocation was done by – Harry Ziegerink
Rotary Toast was done by Chairman – Col Byatt
Pres Pete welcomed guests and done the apologies.
Pres introduces the Chairperson for the night.
Chairperson Col introduced the Secretary .
Secretary Bob handed out correspondence to Directors, and told another joke,
Director – Tony mentioned all the upcoming BBQ’s and asked for volunteers for the roster
Director – Merv spoke about MUNA
Director – Harry Spoke about the DIK visit next year and is looking to see how many members are thinking about going, also mentioned an overseas visist to do work.
Member – Chris spoke about the raffle tickets that we sold at IGA and was looking for members to sell tickets next week.
Member – Greg spoke about the Red Hill Reserve and starting the Halloween meeting earlier next year.
Soup – Pumpkin Soup
Dinner – was Fish and Rice, beans and carrots.
Dessert – custard/apple pie with custard.
 
Lotto was won by – new member Andrew Turner
Sargant Fine Session – went well, a bit long Merv, hurry up next time, we went over 8.00 and Ray was falling asleep.

Claire and Amanda from 39+
Claire spoke about how they help and assist people and there partners with accommodation and respite when needed, they have accommodation for those people and also arrange holidays for the carers, they operate 3 busses to transport there people all over the peninsula, the name 39+ comes from the area code, so they cover all areas in the 39 area, they do a great job with some help from the state government, it all started when a couple of people decided to help people go to their medical appointment, from there it started, and now it is a big organisation that supports 
 
Meetings held weekly at Old Shire Offices, Point Nepean Road, Dromana.

Catering for meals is expensive if you do not turn up and your meal has be paid for.
