Firstly, Happy Birthday to Michael Anderson and Joy Long and Maggie Booth and Andrew Duncan, Better late than never.

THANK YOU TO ALL OUR NEW SPONSORS.
Monday night Pres Peter went to Rick’s house to do the Advertising in our Bulletin, over a glass of wine for Rick, Coffee for Pete, we got the job organized, as well as fixing Peter’s issues with Club Runner, thanks Rick.
Secretary Chris and l have organized the car raffle, now we will put it to the board for there approval and go ahead, and then members, then we can organize the other prizes, and raffle tickets.
DON’T FORGET THERE IS A BOARD MEETING NEXT WEEK AT 5.15, PLEASE HAVE YOUR REPORTS INTO CHRIS AND OTHER DIRECTORS BYE TUESDAY, THANK YOU.
I HAVE ORGANIZED 3 GUEST SPEAKERS, Dave Smith who has Dystonia is doing a walk to raise money and awareness for the Brain Foundation and Liam Brady who works at Monash University as an Archaeologist, travels all over Australia in mainly remote areas.
AND THE 3RD  IS RUSSELL JOSEPH OUR LOCAL MEMBER OF PARLIAMENT, I CONTACTED HIM TO ASK IF HE WOULD ATTEND OUR CLUB AS A GUEST SPEAKER, HE ACCEPTED AND IS COMING ON EITHER THE 2ND OR THE 9TH AUGUST, I WOULD LIKE THIS TO BE A PARTNERS NIGHT AND WILL ALSO OFFER ROSEBUD/RYE ROTARY TO DO A JOINT MEETING, EITHER HER OR AT THE HOTEL.
Email received by Roger Annear Rotary Club of Mt Martha.
Hi Pete, as discussed today our Club is having Moses Pulop speak at our Club about his life growing up in a remote village in PNG on Monday July 23rd. You are most welcome to come along with Mary or any other members of your Club 6 for 6:30 start. Moses village is the subject of one of our water projects this year. Just let us know how many for catering purposes.
I asked members if they would be interested in attending and about 8 or 9 said yes, they are Peter,  Bob, Chris, Ross ,Elaine ,Ray,  Harry, Merv, there could be more and will get final numbers in the next few days.
We are all in this together—and together, we will Be the Inspiration. (A quote from Barry Rassin ).
                                        BE THE INSPIRATION.
HAVE A GREAT WEEK, PRES PETER

To the Queen, Rotarians and family and those volunteering locally, nationally and globally, we drink to your health. Please raise your glass.

Secretary Chris spoke about RYPEN again to members and how he had spoken to DG Janne and  will going over some details with other’s to sort things out.

Director Rick, showed members all the new Advertising from sponsor’s on our website, they rotate every 5 seconds and are all linked to there personal web sites, Great job Rick.

Member Roger gave us an update on what’s been happening over the last 11 month’s with all his and his wife Ginny’s personal issues, Roger said Ginny was now clear, and looking forward to the future, Roger thanked Peter and Mary for there support over the last 11 months and said he was very happy with the well wishes from every member in our club, we all wish Ginny the best as well as Roger in there future, Roger spoke very highly of the Rotary members in our club.

The GIG was done bye Greg Fitz, his 3 minutes went for about 10.

Don’t forget August is MEMBERSHIP MONTH..

THERE WAS NO GUEST SPEAKER THIS WEEK, AS IT WAS A CLUB NIGHT, Club nights will be run a bit different this year, Pres Peter wants all directors to do their own club nights in there house or café with whoever is part of that committee, then when it’s a club night, all directors will report back to the members with whatever was discussed. Directors don’t need to have meetings every month as that is not practical, unless they see the need to bring members up to date in between.
Pres Pete went to a function and Greg Hunt was there.

Geoff and Elaine Taylor went overseas and visited one of exchange students
Enjoyed catching up in North Carolina with our former exchange student Kelly ,husband Randy and two of their boys Brandon and Sean ,lovely young men.
