Our guest speaker was Rick Plumber from the men's shed in Dromana
Rick is the President of the men's shed, Rick Spoke about  how the building went in constructing with the shire, they are in and operating, they are near the bocce courts, the nearest neighbour joined the shed, they have had all there stuff stored at Mew civil in a container donated to them  for over 2 years, Rick said when they went and opened it ,it was like Christmas, he said they spent a lot of time going to council meeting, the had done things for the shire and they kept adding things to the list , the end Rick said to the shire man, give us a complete list and we will do the lot, they also mentioned a wall that was for there meetings, the room was not soundproof, so Rick said what if we remove the wall and make it all open, that was fine by the shire and saved the shed thousands of dollars.
the shed cost around $170,000, Feb 16th was when they started, it took 12 months from start to finish, great job in that time.
Men's shed's actually started in Australia, there are 1,000 Australia wide, there are over 30,000 would wide, and Scotland is the fastest growing. They have a great variety of tools, they even have a gantry, they have 3 phase power.
it was a great talk.
