Last week was Changeover at the Safety Beach Sailing Club.  The venue was pleasant, the food delicious and the company enjoyable.  It was a pleasure to have DG Charlie and wife Rtn Janne in addition to DGE Merv and Christine.

The evening went well I thought with speeches of acceptable length.  Particular congratulations go to Club award recipients PP Bob Donaldson for the Sandy Christie award and Rtn Peter Anderson for the President’s Award.  Also it is a pleasure to welcome PP Bob and Rtn Murray Dart to the list of Paul Harris Fellow recipients.
Thanks go to those who helped organise the night in setting up, preparation and printing of Annual Reports and Programmes, assisting with collection of names of attendees and setting up and taking down the equipment.
My sincere thanks to IPP Merv and his team for a good year where many projects were completed, funds raised and distributed and good works undertaken in the name of Rotary.
Last Saturday evening ten of us attended a Trivia Night in support of the Dromana Primary and Secondary Schools Chaplaincy Project and while we were quite good at the answers we were soundly beaten by a bunch of people who evidently had a vast knowledge of facts and figures.  During the evening we presented, on your behalf, cheques of $500 and $1,000 to the School Principals.
Maggie and I will be attending the District Changeover on Sunday and Rosebud Rye Changeover on Friday evening.
I wish the Chairs of Committees, the Board and Club members an enjoyable aand rewarding year.
