Christmas Dinner 16th December
We are hoping for a fun and informal night with a minimum of speeches
It will be great to catch up with those that can make it.
As mentioned previously Smart Casual dress code.

Venue.
Still no news re the Old Shire Offices so we will be exploring the possibility of using the Dromana Tennis Club until the Shire can give us some more information
The Board will be exploring possibilities at our meeting next Wednesdays. But we welcome ideas from you all. So please email me if you have some (ideas)

Bunnings BBQ
Well the BBQ when well and under Harry’ and Tony's leadership I believe we manged to run the event within the Covid rules set up by Bunnings
We made $956.30 profit on the day plus we have stock over for future events.
So thanks for those members that made it happen and for Geoff Hosking and Rod Troutbeck for stepping in at the last minute to fill the gap

Market 23rd Januaery2021
We are getting positive responses from our Stall holders; so get ready to volunteer for our first one for the year.

Traditional Breakfast meeting our fist meeting for the new year and our next meeting
As is the tradition our first meeting for the year will be a breakfast meeting at the Rotary BBQ shelter on Dromana Foreshore.
The details still have to be organised and supplies ordered. It is a partners, children, and grandchildren event.
And a chance to consume some of Rob’s eggs.
The price will be $10 per head

Rob’s Eggs
The best eggs on the peninsula are still available at Ray and Elaine B-B. for $5 per dozen.

Hope to meet you tomorrow evening!
Rick
Happenings at the last meeting

President Rick had a new venue!

Secretary Bob indicated that there was a thank you from the Peninsula Specialist school and from a Dromana college student who won the excellence award
He had received a request from the St Mary’s House of Welcome who look after homeless. A gift of $35 provides a basic needs package and $55.00 provides a grocery package.
Principal of Red Hill Consolidated School sent a thank you.

Greg has changed the data for the Hillview Reserve working bee to the third Saturday of the month.

Harry spoke about a call he had about school furniture that was surplus to requirements.  He passed the details on the Rotary DIK who were happy to take the furniture for use in other countries.

Rob suggested that we need to get access to the power board on the foreshore for the first meeting.  It was indicated that foreshore manager usually opened up the power board for us.

Terry had a phone call from the Dromana Community Centre, complementing us on the painting of their fence.

Elaine indicate she had 2 buckets of eggs from Rob.  The cost is $5.00 per dozen or a donation.

We learnt about the health and wellbeing of a number of members.  There were some that had challenging problems, but overall all are going OK.

It was discussed whether we could have an outdoor BBQ as a club night.  Members were asked to give any suggestions to the Board.

Remember the Christmas Dinner at the Safety Beach Sailing Club – 6.30pm for 7.00pm on Wednesday 16 December 2020 ($39 prepaid p/p) and the

Breakfast meeting at the Dromana Foreshore Rotary BBQ Shelter (opposite the Dromana Newsagency) – 7.30am for 8.00am on Thursday 7 January 2021 ($10 pay on the day p/p)

The Bunnings BBQ was successful.  We started at 7:30 and the morning session went very well.  I presume the afternoon session went as well.

Speechless this week but watch this space
