President Tyrrell’s Tales
What an interesting guest speaker we had last week in Meghan! How refreshing to find an articulate, intelligent young woman who has a passion for social welfare and community issues.  I enjoyed Meg’ address and this Thursday at our Board Meeting we will discuss ways in which the Club and our members might be able to be of help.  I will be attending the first of AG Linda’s Cluster Meetings this Saturday morning and I will bring to other Presidents Meg’s suitability as a guest speaker.
The Pump Track project is progressing at a good speed, thank you to members who attended the working bee to plant trees which eventually will beautify the area.  For many years I had reservations as to how the project would progress due to all the seemingly insurmountable hurdles we faced, but due to the far sighted planning and efforts of Chairman Greg, his family and the projects supporters it has emerged as a solid community project.  Well done to all involved, in particular Greg and family.
I will be absent in Central Queensland next week as I go back to the little country school where my educational journey started 68 years ago.  It will be a nostalgic trip with two of my sisters and we plan to stay in the hotel which Dad and Mum owned in the late 1970s. Nothing like a family trip to get the memories going.
See you Thursday evening, don’t forget our Club night – thinking caps on!
