Good Evening Rotarians and Friend of Rotary.

 

Firstly l would like to thank all those that helped in the set up and running of my duties while l was absent over the last 6 weeks due to a family death and other issues.

 

Meeting was opened by Chaiman Rob, and handed to Pres Ross.

Ross welcomed the guest speaker and my wife who was in attendance to bring members up to date with how the fundraiser was going.

 

Roger gave a joke, everyone thought it was very funny,it regarded polaticians, why would'nt it be haha

 

Director Ross, spoke about Poleo and how members should be wearing the Rotary badges or something to identify them as a Rotarian.

 

Director Rick, spoke about the Rotary web site, and how easy it is to log and use, sending emails to members, up dating the details etc.

 

Director Chris, spokje about RYPEN and the age group between 15 to 17 year of age.

 

Member Ray , spoke about Australia day and the AGM and nominating new board members, Ray said we now have a new Presadent, great job.

 

Member Col, spoke about the ride to conference, and our exchange student Emily will be our guest speaker.

 

our exchange student Emily is now at Lyn Lewis's house. And during the week Emily attended our house to wrap gifts for fundraiser with Ann B ,Frida and Lyn and Mary, while l had a wine and did my RSA, and passed after my 2nd glass.

 

Guest for the night was Mary Anderson, she spoke about the fundraising event in on the 6th May and how it was going, Mary said we have 150 prizes,being  gifts and auction to give away on the night, the help and support of the community has been fantastic, Mary has even been on the radio promoting the event, local magazines etc.

Mary also asked for as many volunteers as possible to be at the hall at 12.30 to help set up, as we have an events lady turning up for free and needs to leave as soon as she can to do 2 other payed events.

fine session was very funny, as usual.

 

guest speakers were Huon Clough and Nick Petterson.

they were there to talk about Bloom, wich is there hearing aid  buseness in rosebud behind the hotel.

 

they said 80% experience tinatis, there are 3 types of hearing lose, ear damage,work related or phsyical lose, nerve damage etc, the hearing aids of today are so advanced you can hardly see them, some can even be run through your mobile phone, they can be designed to reduce different noices to suite each individual, the cost can be as little or as much as your prepared to spend.
