President Tyrrell’s Tales
Last Thursday was a good  night apart from the news of Lothar’s resignation. It goes to show that some of the best guest speakers are here in the Club. Geoff’s presentation of his walk of the Kokoda Track was a very interesting, enlightening tale.

I am in awe of any person you has the dedication, strength and perseverance to undertake and complete such a journey.

To walk in the footsteps of such history is something I wish I could do but feel it would be an impossible mission for me.  Well done Geoff!

As for Lothar’s resignation, it is a blow when a member such as Lothar feels the need to resign.  I understand his reasoning and I, as well as all the Club members, wish him all the very best for his upcoming operation and for a speedy recovery.  We will of course be happy to have Lothar as a “Friend of Rotary” and welcome him back as and when he feels able to join us.
I wish our Treasurer Rick a very happy, enjoyable and safe sojourn on the slopes and at the après-ski festivities.
See you all on Thursday evening
