Good evening Rotarians and Friends.
 
Meeting was opened bye chairman David Jarman, and handed over to Pres Ross.
 
Tonights meeting was a special meeting as we had 2 new inductees, Mile Smith and Past member re joining Frank Martin.
We also had our 2 exchange students Peter Clavin outbound to Germany ,and his family, and Aviaja Young, outound to Norway, and her family as well.
And also Emilie Finsted our inbound from Norway was with us for the meeting
 
Secretary Bob, spoke briefly about the upcoming christmas carols, and how we recieved a thank you letter from the collection that Peter done last week, we donated $230.00 and they have raised so far over $500.00, peninsula health said they were greatly appreciative of everyone in the Dromana Rotary Club for there generous support and help towards the family in need.
Bob also spoke about another letter of thanks from Peninsula health in regards to a cheque we donated to go towards a theater trolley.
 
There was no gig as Tyrrell was away, and there was no Directors reports.
Lotto was won by David Jarman.
Sergent Murray done the fines.
 
First to be inducted was Mike Smith, he was introduced to the club by Incoming Pres Rob Alaxander, Mike said it was an honor to join our club and looks forward to the experience.
Second to be inducted was Frank Martin, as this was his second time, treasurer Rick stood in as his proposer ?, and as Frank is a counsilor we did not let him talk as it would taken up the night.
 
Our guest speakers were our outbound students, they would both give a practice talk of our country and club for a presentation to there new clubs overseas.
First was Peter Clavin, he is a student at Padua College Mornington, he spoke about his favorite sports , basketball, Football and cricket, and loves going to the beach, he spoke about the population of Australia and also our flags and what they meant,  also aboit our coat of arms and why those 2 animals were chosen,  his favourite foods,he also said he was looking forward to the challenge of being there for 12 months and also trying to learn there language, and then went on to thank the Rotary clubs of Dromana and Rye/Rosebud as they were his sponsoring clubs, all members wished him a safe trip.
 
 
Second to speake was Aviaja Young.
Aviaja spoke briefly about the same things as Peter, but had a few extra words about Australia, like Phillip island and the penquins,and the apposals along the great ocean road, also how we have 8 states of which 2 are Territories , one being our capital, also our new eagle chair lift at Dromana, and the tree surfing at Arthurs seat, we wished her well and a safe trip as well.
 
Teasurer Rick presented Emilie with some spending money, she was greatful.
 
As it was Ray BB birthday on Friday l asked the club to sing to him, hopefully it cheered him up a bit.
 
REMEMBER : Next Thursday 15th is our christmas dinner at the Greek restaurant in McCrae, its 6.00 for 6.30, Thank you to everyone who has payed Elaine, as Elaine and Ray unfortunately are away for a few days to there daughters funeral in Queensland and will not be able to do to much on there return prior to Thursday evening, we wish them both luck in these hard times, take care xxx
 
Dinner for the evening.
Hawaiian chicken parmigiana,  chips and salad, dessert was hot apple pie with custard,  tea or coffee.
