Director Ray, spoke about the Australia day event and how he would like as many members to attend as possible to help in setting up and also running the event. It was also mentioned about the Trailer raffle and how it was going, we still have more tickets to sell to make more money to donate, and as we don't have the Art show any more, we need more events to make money. Tonight our guest speaker was Bob Donaldson, doing THE MAN BEHIND THE BADGE. (forgive me if l miss something as my recorder on the night failed to save.) Bob spoke about being brought up in Western Australia for many years, were he and his family were brought up on the Hancock farm, he said in the area he was there were only 2 white children there, him and his sister. after that he moved away and worked for Stihl he enjoyed working for them for many years and then went on to work for Honda, witch Bob also enjoyed, he was very successful working for both Stihl and Honda and then went on to try his own busines. Bob also had a flower garden on the Peninsula, which he ran with his Wife Frieda for a while.
