President Tyrrell’s Tales

Our guest speaker Chris delivered an interesting address last week which generated many questions.  Perhaps we could entice him to do a feature article on the Pump Track and how it is and will benefit bike riders of the community.  It would also demonstrate the cooperation between community and council to bring benefit to the wider community.
If you are able to assist Chairman Greg with his working bee at the park please do so. The project is coming tighter nicely.
Now you have all been advised of your membership of the various committees please join with your Chair to plan and implement a rewarding year, don’t just leave it to the Chair as many hands make light work.
As I advised last Thursday, there is a Board Meeting following the Club night on Thursday 16th and if any member has any matter they would like raised at the meeting please advise me in advance of the meeting.
It is good to see Mary Anderson is back on deck after her recent accident and that her father is feeling better.

See you Thursday evening.

Working Bee at Boundary Road
Many thanks to all the Rotarians and friends who worked hard all day in the rain on Saturday the 4th of July!!

Twelve people turned up and we were able to achieve a great deal, thanks to the five Red hill Riders who joined us, and to Luke Christiano from the BMX club who was able to supply a Bob Cat.This and Merv's Tractor made the heavy work easy.

We planted 100 Dianella brevicaulis ( small flower flax lily) and 100 Lomandra Longifolia  (spiny headed mat rush ) close to the Pump track. The plants were kindly donated by Daniel Brindley of Wetlands and wildlife creations and the Habitat Restoration Fund. And we spread a *^7^&^& lot of mulch!!!

Luke and the Red hill Riders did some finishing and ride testing on the track which was pronounced fantastic!!.

       Great achievement well done all.
