Director Rob spoke about lift the lid on mental health and brought in a box of cans he wants members to hand out for people to donate to.

Director Peter spoke about art show screens and how won of his clients can supply water resistant thick cardboard for a fraction of the price of corflu, and we can paint it whatever color we want.
Also Peter mentioned about our Xmas break up, how we could go to the new Greek restaurant in McCrae and make it a partners night and if the treasurer and the board agree that our club account could donate $500.00 towards the food and maybe a couple of bottles of wine,
As its members money going into the club account, we might be able to utilise some of it, members would pay $20.00 per head and the club covers the balance to an extra $20.00 per head.

Member Ray spoke about the upcoming art show and how it was going with sponsorships and also about the screens we were getting from Berwick Rotary.
Inc .Art show dates and times and name.
Inc. New advertising emails for Rick to put in bulletin.

Fine session and lotto was done.

Director and our guest speaker Rod Troutbeck, Rod gave us a very interesting talk about road barriers and how they save lives compared to Armco railing, in that the rope or wire strands actually stretch and bounce back, stopping cars from going through the rail to hit on coming  cars, the film clip Rod showed was different scenarios with small cars, 4 wheel drive vehicles and a tray truck, the differences were very interesting as some vehicle's that we thought were safer as a 4x4 were actually worse as they had been ripped apart at the wheel base and damaged more, this was done on older vehicles , so standards have improved since then.Rod also showed us that vehicle testing has been done for many many years, as one of the clips was what looked like a T model ford rolling down a hill into a railing system to see what happens, what we all noticed was the cars back then were built stronger, Rod doesn't think they will increase the speed on the Hume HWY as the safety on that road doesn't allow for it, Rd also explained that the reason for motorcycle fatalities with this system was due to speed.
All members thanked Rob for his talk.

Pete's health tip.
Now that we are coming into the summer were you all run around half naked and get hot and swetty, make sure you all use protection ( get your minds out of the gutter), l am talking about sun screen and hats, our sun is more dangerous now than ever, so please take care and cover up.

Pete's scam alert.
I have been getting an ortamated message from the taxation department demanding money, so far l have had 4 phone calls to my mobile, these a a hoxe, do not phone them back, ignore them, other false calls are from Telstra and Microsoft, even false banks are sending emails saying about lack of activity on your account, please update, do not open reply, ring your bank or Telstra if you are concerned.  l even had a client receive one from Mornington Police, my client said he was also a police officer ( wasn't) and they immediately hung up,so be careful .

Also, as l am Membership Director occasionally l get requests for people on our bulletin list to either become new members or would like information, l have sent emails out but haven't received any replies to interested people, Please if you have sent a request for anything and not had a reply, l have sent replies out, my personal e-mail is tptechniques66@bigpond .com
If you send it direct, l can reply to your e-mail address that you provide, l would hate to miss someone out because of a computer or spelling error on my part, thank you.regards Peter.
