President Tyrrell’s Tales
Ross’ explanation last week gave a good understanding of where overseas assistance fits into the overall programme of Rotary acronyms and how Rotarians can assist to build better communities. There are many more acronyms which need explaining and I intend to have a monthly “Know your Rotary” session so those new Rotarians are better aware and are not confused by our “Rotary Speak”.
Many of the present Club members have been involved in previous overseas building programmes and many have fond memories of the assistance provided and the fellowship enjoyed during their visits. It would be good if we could identify a programme for this year whether it is initiated by us or a co-joined programme.  Members are asked to keep their eyes open for such an opportunity.
Looking forward to another in our series of the Rotarian behind the Badge this week.
See you all on Thursday evening
President Tyrrell
