Last Thursday's meeting
 
Pres Ross opened the meeting
 
Chairman for the night was David Buchanan
Colin was to be chairman but rang me and informed me there was a family issue and couldn't get to Rotary, we wish them all well.
 
Secretary Bob, went over all the long weekend Rotary activities and has asked every one who can be available on Monday 31st oct to either be at the Boundary road reserve for Halloween set up or at the Dromana Primary school for packing up art show screens.
Also all those available this Wednesday 26th for Dromana Primary School hall set up, as art displays are down we will be using our own art show screens , these will be picked up from the Dromana Secondary college and loaded on 2 trailers by the school students and then delivered to the Dromana Primary School for set up once carpet from red hill has been layed down.
Thursday evening is a Rotary night BUT it will be at the Primary school , this is for deliveries of painting and sculptures to be categorized, priced and put on the art screens, dinner for the night will be Fish and chips, as l am away this night and the weekend, please help Elaine
With numbers for orders, as this weekend is stressful enough.
 
Member Greg spoke about the shire putting g up signs around the pump track, saying about entering the pump track area at own risk,
He also spoke about Halloween and that at his home meeting CFA and Men's Shed were all on board to help.
 
Member Roger, spoke about the 9,000 Trailer raffle tickets are now ready, David and Myself picked them up from Somerville last Wednesday, they are a little smaller than years past, so write smaller hah.these tickets$310.00 was payed for by Roger, we thank him for his kind donation and support.
Roger also spoke about how he was wandering the streets trying to get donations for the trailer and done very well, he expects to get the rest once he goes through the industrial estate, Ray thought he was doing such a good job he wanted him o the Art show Committee to get sponsors. 
 
Lotto was won bye me again, as usual l give it all back,and got finned for winning.
Sergeant Murray did the fine session and l still reckon he has nothing written in the fine book , just fines everyone who has a pulse, great job , glad he's doing it , l hatted it, thank Murray.

Rob from the Dromana bay life saving club.
Rob spoke about the little nippers program,  and how when it started they only had 20 nippers, then 12 months latter had 120, he said that they need one lifesaver for every 6 nippers, when Rob went though his training at a mature age,he said he had to swim out and around a boat
Get a mouthful of petrol fumes and swim back trying not to throw up , he done it , but due to back injuries he doesnt go on the boards any more as it hurts his back to much.
Rob also spoke about there club room and how the disabled toilet is an issue for wheelchairs to access it, and is working with local council to have a path made easy. 
Rob also mentioned  to tourists and how they don't follow the rules in regards to jet ski's coming into the no go zone, even when telling them they still don't listen.
