Lotto was won by Murry, and fine session was profitable again.
Our Guest speaker for the night was Hannah Clayton
Hannah is a year 12 student from Rosebud Secondary college, she brought her parents along to listen to the presentation she prepared from going to Canberra for NYSF.
She is studying Chemistry, Science and maths, part of the trip was an 8 hour bus trip to meet oher students, they were sepperated into 3 groups, the went for a tour of parliament and while there were given a bill to vote on, of course it was a fake, much like all members there haha.
They met a lot of people there, one was Prof Brian Shmidt, he won a Nobel prize for physics, and Dr Frazer and his study of plants and animals and the effect of climate change.
Dr Ritchard Payne and his study of Terbuculosis and how it is getting worse not better.
Hannah also looked at solar panels and the effect of how it is positioned in relation to the sun to get greater efficiency.
They also found that the planet gives of more energy in one second than the sun does in a whole year.
They visited the CSIRO and also a 3D printing section, were they actually made an entire rib cage system for a human.
They looked at orange juice and how from the day it is produced it actually contains much more vitamin c so that way when it hits its expiry date it is at the level stated on the bottle.
They have a machine called Shrimp, it tells the scientists how old and the age of rocks, it looks at zerckon crystals to work out the age.
It was a very interesting talk by Hannah and all members thoroughly enjoyed it.

Please Not , there is no Meeting on Australia day
ALSO , l have noticed there are members who are talking whilst there is someone talking at the podium, please remember we have lost members in the past because of this, and should show the person up front some respect, these guests and directors are doing the best they can,and were not showing guests a very good example if it continues, we have all been guilty of this at some stage, thank you.
