Member Tony sent this... I have a quote from Sarah Negri Media for the full design and build of the Market Website, Social Media presence, Media Press Release, Logo Concept development, and design, Monthly News Letters and ongoing maintenance and management of each item for a 12 month period (does not include photography or video content). Sarah worked with the Dromana Australia Day Committee to develop the same content for the Australia Day festivities and the committee was very pleased with her charge out rates and final product. The Total Cost for the Market is $5995 which is a significant amount of money, and the first step is to submit a Sponsorship Application for $6000 to the Bendigo Bank before the end of March to help limit the financial impact on the Club. Rick will be assisting me to complete the application form and if the Club is unsuccessful in acquiring a sponsorship another approach will need be taken to develop the Market website etc.
Our Guest speaker was from the Dromana community house in Beach St.
Karen Tateman spoke about the work they do for the community, they offer a program called second bite, were they get donated food from various organisations and distribute it to needy people in our community, they have about 12 items they mainly need to supply a breakfast ,lunch and dinner. It sounded like a great idea, Karen said they make every cent work for them as they don’t get any government assistance and need local support to fund and run there program.
David mentioned about the Historic society doing a BBQ at Bunnings and asked for volunteers, Peter And David put there hands up to help.
Member Greg spoke about the meeting he had at Chris Booth’s house to talk about ways for fundraising to build new paths, it was said that Easter Saturday would be the day were they would set up attractions and BBq and needed as many members to help in this project.
