Thursday nights meeting was a club night

 

Chairman was Geoffrey Taylor.

 

Secretary Bob spoke about ROMAC , they need to work on a committee and organise funding, also a certificate of appreciation for some books we donated through Mornington Library Spinner, Bob Also mention clothing from RDU, Also we are updating the Presidents collar.

 

 

Director Peter spoke about the Peninsula health breakfast on Monday 13th, His wife Mary would be attending on behalf of Rotary and her fundraising effort combined with Rotary that donated $27,000.

 this money purchased an X-Ray trolley as well a an Cardiac Machine for the Rosebud Hospital, Also that Peter would be absent from Rotary for the next 2 weeks and asked for assistance for Elaine and also hall set up.

 

Director Chris spoke about NYSF we have 2 students going through, Jake and Shawn  from year 11, there will be a pre program at Churchill, at the federation university on the 24th September, Chris will be attending and if anyone wants to go with him.

 

Director Harry, spoke about Membership month, he read out an article in a RDU magazine from the past, and what he has gained through being a member. He also mentioned advertising ourselves while doing working bee's and whenever out in the public working.

 

Director Mike spoke about the Red Hill communitee Reserve, He has printed out some flyers as we need volunteers. 

 

Member John spoke about the new 3 story building , there is an action group , there is a partition going around and when filled out they can be dropped into Mirage Hair Shop 3 Pier street,Dromana. (not between 17th and 26th of August as shop will be closed for annual leave ) if shop is closed they may be put under the door. he asked for assistance to do a letter drop. He said it is not a Rotary Project.

 

Member Greg mentioned about Halloween ,and asked for members to go on his committee .

 

Member Geoffrey mentioned the communitee garden BBq shelter and it progression , they are up to the roof section going on.

 

Member Frank is recovering well, great news.
